Yay Thanksgiving

Yes those are Christmas lights and no they aren't on my house...sad day. They are the lights my husband put up on his parent's house. One day he will have a house to climb on the roof and risk his life for Christmas' sake for our house:)

I have managed to do the following this week:

Fancy, no?
Also check out my bird ornaments I scored at Walmart:

At $2.00 a bird I could afford to buy a bunch...actually just 2...but whatever!!!

This ornament was my inspiration:

Colie Bird Ornament from Anthropologie: $12.00

I think my sparkly Walmart one was a great score!!!
On another note, I've never ventured out on Black Friday to score deals...maybe cause I've usually already finished my Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving (just working on knitting a scarf), BUT I'm always interested to hear others' stories, like my sister-in-law last year...

NOW I WANT TO HEAR YOURS!

Hair Accessories

I am IN LOVE with these headbands and hair acccessories. I have been finding tutorials to make some of these adorable baubles, but I'm running out of time to do all the projects I have in queue...Does anyone else have these on your Christmas list??

Taking a new Turn...

I've been thinking that I need to take a new approach on this blog...maybe to draw some more readers and also to make it more interesting:) I probably spend a couple hours a day on other design blogs getting great ideas and I know that there are people out there who would love to see and find all the AWESOME blogs that I find!! So I decided I am going to get you all in on the action and post some of the great and interesting things I find!
Here goes for the first post...EMBROIDERY

I was going through my reader Inbox and this lovely dove caught my eye:

One Flew Over

I love the beautiful hand embroidery, something that I've been practicing (like from my post here and here). I love the cute little french knots:) I've actually been working on our Christmas stockings all 8 of them. I decided to make a ton so when we actually have kids I will only have to add the names to them. Here they are:

How did they turn out???
